Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Passenger No. 2
Mr Finian Maguire · D K Weld
✓ Top rated ✓ Course winner ✓ Back from a 286-day break
Passenger is our selection and looks the strongest runner in this eight-runner contest over 19 furlongs on good ground. Our rating of 121 puts him 15 lb clear of Ifuknowuknow on 106, with Rokanako a pound further back on 105, so he has a sizeable margin over the best of his rivals. Bairdin, rated 82, is much further adrift, and the four unrated runners give little to worry about on available evidence. Ifuknowuknow and Rokanako are the ones to fear if Passenger fails to run to his best, but he should prove too good for them, so Passenger is the selection.

Ifuknowuknow won last time out, a clear step up on a seventh two starts back and a sixth three starts back, and he returns fresh after 23 days having run on today's going before. Carrying 168 lb is the main risk, though our rating of 106 ranks him second of eight.

Passenger arrives with a consistent profile, second last time out, third two starts back and a winner three starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before. The 286-day absence is the one question, though our rating of 121 makes him the one to beat despite 168 lb.

Rokanako has been in the frame in three of his last five, with a second two starts back, another second three starts back and a win five starts back, and he's fresh from a 17-day break having run over today's trip and going before. The main risk is a fifth last time out and 168 lb on his back, though our rating has him third of eight.

Lightly raced and unexposed, Kilbeg Jimmy was unplaced on his latest outing 50 days ago, so there is likely more to come from him. He carries 161 lb and remains yet to win in his recent form.

Lightly raced and yet to win, Poet's Sonnet was ninth last time out and a seventh two starts back, so he's unexposed and could find improvement, though he returns after 69 days off and carries 161 lb.

Bairdin has run over today's trip and on this going, and a fifth last time out followed an eighth two starts back, so he looks a leading danger at 160 lb on our 82 rating. The main risk is a 53-day absence after two outings without a win.

Klassical Kid is unexposed on debut with no recorded form to go on, so he's an open book and plenty could be found for improvement. He carries 160 lb, a notable burden for a newcomer.

Sir Kybo is lightly raced and unexposed, with just one recent outing so far, when he finished unplaced 21 days ago. He's yet to win, so there should be scope for improvement, though he shoulders 160 lb.
