Duke Silver gets the nod at Punchestown over 20 furlongs on good ground, with a progressive profile that makes him more appealing than the top-rated runner, Open Secret, who is only four pounds ahead on our figures. At 130 he sits right in the thick of a competitive 16-runner field, and an improving type can bridge that small gap. Open Secret, Feud (133) and Park Of Kings (132) are the main dangers, all rated within a few pounds of him, so this is far from a one-horse race. Still, Duke Silver's upward trajectory is the key to the case, and he is the selection.
