Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Jon Riggens shares the top rating in this 7f Curragh contest on good to soft, and we prefer him to Apache Outlaw thanks to a progressive profile and a fitness edge that should count in a big field. Apache Outlaw is level on our figures and the obvious danger, while Mickey The Steel and Poweracclaim are both only four pounds behind and sit right in the mix. In a contest this open, the horse arriving in better order and still improving gets the nod, and Jon Riggens fits that description. Jon Riggens is our selection.
Runners
Patrick McGettigan (5)

Jon Riggens is our pick on overall profile: he won three starts back, then a third two starts back, and returns fresh after 11 days having run over today's distance and going before. He was unplaced last time, the one blemish, but our rating of 78 keeps him firmly in the picture from stall seven.

Apache Outlaw is yet to win in his last six starts but has hit the frame three times in that spell, including a third five starts back, and he's back quickly after five days, having run over today's trip and going. Our rating has him top of the 20, though a sixth and a ninth in his last two outings are the main concern.

Runner-up last time out and again two starts back, with a third three starts back, he's been consistent, and he has run over today's trip and going before. Only three days since his last run and 137 lb from draw 15 temper enthusiasm, while our rating of 68 ranks him eighth of 20.

Third last time out and again two starts back, with a win three starts back, he's in sound form and back quickly after six days, having run over today's trip and going before. Our rating of 74 sits above his official 67, but 137 lb from stall 16 is the main risk.

Dolly Hello was unplaced last time out after a third two starts back, and has been placed twice in her last five without a win; she has run over today's trip and going, but 58 days off and 136 lb from stall 17 give her plenty to prove.
