Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Jack's A Legend looks the one to beat at Stratford, topping our ratings on 100 and four pounds clear of Kit's Coty, which is a worthwhile edge in a Class 5 staying contest over 22 furlongs on good ground. Kit's Coty is the chief danger on 96, while Ballynorth and Mersey Street, both on 90, are a further six pounds back and will need to improve to get involved. The rest of the field look to have plenty to find, so Jack's A Legend gets the vote.

Ballynorth sits third of seven on our ratings and has a useful third and fourth in her last five runs, with the 168 lb burden manageable off an official 96. The big risk is a 177-day absence after two pulled-up efforts, so fitness is the question.

Mersey Street won last time out and was also successful four starts back, with a second three starts back, so he arrives in good heart and has run over today's trip and going before. The main risk is a 164-day absence, and he carries 164 lb.

Jack's A Legend has been thereabouts without a win, with thirds five and four starts back and a fourth two runs ago, and he has run on today's going before. An 85-day break is a reservation, but our top-rated runner looks the one to beat off 159 lb.

Fifth last time out, but a winner two starts back and a fourth three starts back, this gelding is consistent and fit after 16 days off, and has run over today's trip and going. Carrying 153 lb off 81 is a lot to ask, and our rating of 82 ranks him only fifth of seven.

Bahtiyar is yet to win in his last six starts, finishing fifth last time out and fourth two starts back, so he is hard to fancy as our bottom-ranked runner of seven. He is fit after 12 days off and has run over today's trip and going, but 149 lb is a lot to carry.

Winless in his last five, Crac de Megaudais was a fourth last time out and a third two starts back, but a 145-day layoff and 147 lb on his back make him hard to fancy, ranked sixth of seven on our figures. He has run on today's going before, which is about the only firm plus.
