Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Kevin's Pride is our selection, and he looks the right one to side with in this 12-runner staying contest at Sligo. He is just a pound behind Boston Rajj on our figures, but a fitness edge and a progressive profile tip the balance his way, and he is well clear of the remainder of the field on ratings. Boston Rajj is the chief danger as the top-rated runner, while Broken Ice and Fizzle Rock are the others most likely to make it a race over 26 furlongs on good ground. Kevin's Pride gets the nod.

Kevin's Pride is fit and race-sharp after just nine days off, and he has run over today's trip and on this going before, with recent form reading unplaced, sixth, fourth, fifth and fourth. He's yet to win in that spell and the yard is quiet, but our figures rate him second of twelve.

Ilbdare arrives in solid recent form, third last time out and third again two starts back, with a win four starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before. Carrying 158 lb off an official mark of 102 and rated sixth of 12 by us, he looks more a place contender than a standout.

Runner-up last time out, a sixth two starts back and a second five starts back, so Mickey Cohen is consistent if yet to win in his last five, and he's fresh enough after 18 days; a 158 lb burden and a yard 1/29 in the last fortnight temper the case.

Broken Ice arrives in sound shape, third last time out and second two starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before after just 18 days off. Yet to win in his last six, he carries 154 lb, while the trainer's 0/20 recent run is the main concern.

Fizzle Rock arrives fresh from a 17-day break, carries 150 lb off an official mark of 94, and has run on today's going before. Our rating of 100 puts her fourth of twelve, but a fall last time and a ninth two starts back leave her yet to win in her last five, so jumping is the concern.

Moorish Castle has had a rough recent spell, unplaced last time out after being pulled up two starts back and a faller three runs ago, though a fifth four starts back shows some ability. Back in 21 days and carrying 150 lb off 94, he's yet to win in recent starts, and our 96 puts him seventh of 12.

Strong Contender signed off with a fifth last time out, after a third two starts back and back-to-back wins three and four starts back, so she arrives in solid shape after 28 days off. She has run over today's trip and going, but 150 lb is a hefty burden and our rating of 91 puts her eighth of twelve.

Winless in his last five, Johnny Cakes was fifth last time out and fifth two starts back, and he returns after 233 days off with a yard out of form (1/21). He has run on today's going and was third three starts back, but 143 lb and our 83 rating, ranked 11 of 12, make him hard to fancy.

Joe's Turn won last time out, but that came after a sixth, a sixth and an eighth in his previous three runs, and a fall five starts back, so consistency is a worry. He has run over today's trip and going, and 19 days since that win is fine, yet our rating of 85 puts him tenth of 12 off 142 lb.

Spanish John is winless in his last five and was only eighth last time out, after an unplaced run before that, so he is hard to fancy. A second three starts back and a 23-day break are mild positives, and he has run on today's going, but 142 lb is a stiff burden and our rating ranks him ninth of twelve.

Vroomvroomboo is winless in her last five, with a sixth last time out and another sixth two starts back, so she is hard to fancy. She has run on today's going and is back quickly after 14 days, but 140 lb is a big ask and our figures rank her last of 12.
