Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Alessia Fernanda heads our ratings on 70, two pounds ahead of Ballybunion, and that narrow edge is enough to make her the pick in a competitive Class 6 over a mile at Wolverhampton. Ballybunion is the chief danger on 68, with Sant Alessio and Yehudi both on 66 and well capable of turning this into a tight finish. Our case rests on that modest rating advantage in an open field of eleven, so this is a low-confidence selection, but Alessia Fernanda is the one to side with.

Alessia Fernanda is yet to win in her last six, but she was second five starts back, comes here fit after 20 days, and has run over today's trip and going. Our rating of 70 tops the field, with 140 lb the one concern.

Asian Journey was only eighth last time out after a third, two starts back, and a second, three starts back, while a win four starts back shows he can score; he's run over today's trip and going, and is fresh enough after 15 days. Carrying 135 lb from stall six, he looks a solid midfield type, with our rating of 64 only fifth of eleven.

Ballybunion arrives in solid nick, third last time out and third again two starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before, while our rating of 68 ranks him second of 11. The one concern is that he is winless in his last six and was back out just four days ago.

Book of Life is winless in his last six, though a fourth last time out, a second two starts back and a third three starts back show he is rarely far away; he has run over today's trip and going, but 130 lb from draw 2 and a 41-day break make him hard to fancy, with our rating ranking him tenth of eleven.
