Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Unauthorized shares the top rating of 84 with Mister Adam, and we side with him over that rival on his progressive profile, which should count for plenty in a testing 12 furlongs on heavy ground at Galway. The margins are fine in an 11-runner field, with Mister Adam level on 84 and Ballybawn Belter and Glenroyal only two pounds back on 82, so the danger comes from several directions. Ben Hur is also on 82 and Slurricane not far behind on 80, which keeps this competitive and means confidence is low. Even so, the improving Unauthorized is the one we want on side, and he is our selection.

Glenroyal won five starts back and has run over today's trip, while 30 days off the track leaves him fresh at 140 lb off an official mark of 88. Our rating of 82 puts him fourth of eleven, but the main risk is four straight runs without a win since that success, including an eighth three starts back.

Quick back-up after eight days and a winner three starts back, Mister Adam has also run over today's trip and carries 136 lb off an official mark of 84, with our rating putting him top of the 11; the risk is two modest efforts since, an eighth last time and a sixth before.

Unauthorized is our pick on overall profile: he's fit after just nine days off and has run on today's going, while a second five starts back shows his ability. Three straight unplaced runs are the reservation, and our rating of 84 keeps him firmly in the picture.

Ben Hur won last time out and was third two starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before, though 33 days off and 129 lb temper the enthusiasm. Our rating of 82 ranks him fifth of 11, so he looks a midfield sort.

Ballybawn Belter arrives fresh from a win last time out, 22 days ago, and has a second three starts back too, so she's in good heart and has run over today's trip before. Our rating of 82 ranks her third of 11, but a sixth two starts back shows she can have an off day.

Royal Saxo has finished sixth last time out, a seventh two starts back and a fifth three starts back, so he is yet to win in his last five and hasn't convincingly found his feet; he has run over today's trip and returns after 36 days, while our rating of 76 matches his official mark and sits seventh of 11 at 128 lb.

Ryefield Dasher arrives in cracking nick, a winner last time out and again two starts back, fresh from a 15-day break and having run over today's trip and going. Our rating of 76 ranks him only eighth of 11, though, and 126 lb off an official 80 leaves little margin.

Slurricane has run over today's trip and going, but he's tailed off since winning five starts back, with an eighth last time out and a sixth two starts back. Our rating of 80 sits above his official 74, yet a quiet yard (1/23 lately) and 33 days off temper the case.

Granville Street is yet to win in his last six starts, though a second last time out and a third two starts back show he is in decent heart, and he returns just 12 days later having run over today's trip and going. Ranked ninth of eleven on our figures, he's hard to fancy off 125 lb.

Winless in her last six, Speckled Meadow was unplaced last time out, though a second two starts back is the one bright spot, and she has run over today's trip and going. Back in just nine days, carrying 123 lb, she looks hard to fancy, with our rating of 70 putting her tenth of eleven.

Shay's Dream backed up with a third last time out, and a winner two starts back, but he's quick to reappear after eight days and, with our figures ranking him last of 11, he looks outclassed off an official 70 at 119 lb, though he has run over today's trip.
