Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Fancy Dancer is our selection for this Southwell sprint, and although she sits five pounds behind the top-rated Stash The Cash on our figures, her progressive profile and fitness edge make her the one to side with in a tightly packed Class 6 field. Stash The Cash is the obvious danger as the highest-rated runner, while Midnight Lir is only a pound behind him and Tomarlo is another with a solid chance at the weights. Over 5f on the all-weather, race fitness can count for plenty, and that is an area where Fancy Dancer should have the edge. We side with Fancy Dancer, though this is a low-confidence call.

Winless in his last five, with finishes of ninth last time out and a ninth five starts back, Lil Wade is hard to fancy, and he's turned out again just four days later. He has run over today's trip and going before, and a mark of 40 is modest, though our rating of 37 ranks him ninth of ten.
