Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Alissam is our selection at Dundalk, and the progressive profile is what makes him the one to side with in a competitive 14-runner race over eight furlongs. He sits only three pounds behind the top-rated Daler on our figures, a gap that his upward trajectory can bridge. Daler himself is the chief danger, along with Gavoo, who is just a pound behind him, and Howyoulikethat, who is level with our pick on 86. With so little between the principals, the improving horse is the one to side with, so Alissam gets the vote.

Daler arrives in solid form, third last time out and third again two starts back, with a win six starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before after a fresh 21-day break. Our rating puts him top of the 14, but he's yet to add to that one win in his last six starts.

Bishopton has run over today's trip and on this going, and returns after 21 days, but he has one win in his last six and has finished fifth, sixth and fifth in the three runs before an unplaced latest effort. Carrying 140 lb from stall 17, he looks a mid-pack type, with our rating of 84 ranking him sixth of 14.

Son Of Beauty arrives fit after 12 days off, with a third and another third in his last three runs before a fifth last time out, and he has run over today's trip and going. A single win six starts back and 138 lb from draw 6 keep him in the midfield picture, with our rating of 85 only hinting at upside.

Alissam makes plenty of appeal on profile: a winner four starts back, then a third, a third, and a fifth last time out, all after 21 days off, and he has run over today's trip and going before. Our rating of 86 ranks him third, and the fifth last time is the only blemish.

Hard to fancy after a 187-day absence and a fifth last time out, with our figures ranking her outsider of the field, though back-to-back wins two and three starts back and previous runs over today's trip and going give her some credit.

Winless in his last five and beaten into ninth on each of his last two starts, Flame Of Forest has little recent form to lean on, though he has run over today's trip and going and is back quickly after 14 days. Our rating of 82 sits above his official 75, but he carries 135 lb from stall one.

Fourth last time out, 15 days ago, and a winner two starts back, Suir Monad has been consistent, with a third, a fourth and another third before that. He has run over today's trip and going, but carries 135 lb from stall 11, and our rating of 81 ranks him only tenth of 14.

Time Bender has been out of sorts since a win five starts back, finishing an eighth last time out after a sixth and fifth before that, and he returns from 93 days off. He has run over today's trip and our rating of 83 sits above his official 78, but 135 lb is a hefty burden.

Golddream is yet to win in his last six starts, though a sixth last time out and a fifth two starts back show he's rarely disgraced, and he has run over today's trip and going before. Carrying 132 lb from draw 14, he looks held by his lowly ranking of 12 of 14 in our ratings.

Gavoo has been busy, back just two days after a seventh, and he has run over today's trip and going before, while our rating of 88 ranks him second of 14 off an official 74. The risk is a winless recent run, with a third five starts back his best finish in his last six.

Howyoulikethat showed a bit of life when fourth last time out, and he has run over today's trip and going before, while our rating of 86 ranks him fourth of 14 against an official mark of 73. The risk is a quick turnaround, just two days after that run, and he's yet to win in his last six starts.
