Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Party President gets the nod in a competitive 16-runner contest at Clonmel, topping our figures on 104 and narrowly ahead of Onefortheditch on 102, so the edge is slim but real. Onefortheditch is the chief danger and sits only a couple of pounds behind, while Following Orders (97) and Regards To Rose (96) are the other principals who could take advantage if our pick fails to handle the good ground over 17 furlongs. With the rest of the field rated 93 or below, Party President looks the best of a tight group, though this is a low-confidence call. Party President is our selection.

Party President is our top-rated runner, and he holds a narrow edge on ability despite being winless in his last six, with a fifth last time out and a second six starts back. He has run over today's trip and going before, and a 32-day break should have him fresh, though 166 lb is a hefty burden.

Courtbrack Boy booked a second last time out and a fourth two starts back after winning three runs ago, and he has run over today's trip and going before. A 200-day absence and 165 lb on an official mark of 96 temper the appeal, with our rating of 92 ranking him sixth of 16.

Runner-up last time out and a fourth two starts back, Dontcavein is in decent nick after just 11 days, and has run over today's trip. Yet to win in his last five, he carries 161 lb off 92, which looks a stiff ask.

Rated 97 by us and third-best of 16, Following Orders has run over today's trip and on this going, and a 30-day break gives him a fresh edge, though a seventh last time out, an eighth two starts back and a yard 0/28 recently make the form hard to trust.

Fourth last time out offers some encouragement, and he has run over today's trip and going, but Charlie's Gift is winless in his last six starts, with a pulled up and a faller in that sequence. Carrying 155 lb off 86, he looks a midfield type, with our rating of 89 only marginally supportive.

Bruise Hill fell last time out and is winless in his last five, with a second two starts back the only real bright spot among an eighth, a sixth and an unplaced run. He has run over today's trip and going, but 153 lb and a 14th-of-16 ranking on our figures make him hard to fancy.

Winless in his last five, Atlantic Wonder was sixth last time out, 13 days ago, and a fifth two starts back is the best of a modest run that includes a pulled up. He has run over today's trip and going, but 143 lb and a bottom ranking of 16 on our figures make him hard to fancy.
