Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Final Decision heads our ratings on 107, six pounds clear of Eaglewood on 101, though confidence is low in a 15-runner staying contest over 20 furlongs on good ground. Eaglewood is the chief danger, with Tropical Twist (100) and Kayla's Friend (99) also in the mix and only a pound or two apart, so the race looks competitive behind our pick. The size of the field adds uncertainty, but Final Decision tops our ratings and gets the nod. Our selection is Final Decision.
Runners
Josh Williamson (3)
Gordon Elliott 8/46
Tropical Twist has run over today's going before and carries 166 lb, a winner four starts back, and our rating ranks her third of 15, making her a leading threat. The main risk is a recent slide, with a fifth last time out, a sixth and an eighth before that.

Rumble Demosa showed a clear step forward when third last time out, but she is winless in her last five and had finished seventh in two of the three runs before that. She has run over today's trip and going, though 162 lb is a stiff burden off a mark of 94.

Kayla's Friend arrives fresh from a second last time out just four days ago, and she has run over today's trip and going before, while a winner four starts back shows she can score. Carrying 161 lb is the main risk, with her form patchy in between.

Final Decision is yet to win in her last five and returns after 89 days off, but she has run on today's going and carries 160 lb off an official 92, while our rating of 107 puts her top of the 15. Stable form is a concern at 0/22 in the last fortnight.

Hard to fancy, as she's winless in her last six and ranked 11 of 15 on our figures, with a trainer 0/22 in the last 14 days and 160 lb to carry. A runner-up effort last time out and experience of today's trip and going are the positives, though a 43-day break raises fitness questions.

Lady's Choice is hard to fancy, having been pulled up in her last two starts and returning after 166 days off, with a ninth and a fourth before that. She has run on today's going and our rating has her 14th of 15, so 160 lb looks a big ask.

Poetic Focus bounces in off a second last time out and has twice finished runner-up in her last six, though she's yet to win in that spell and was unplaced two starts back. She has run over today's trip and going, but 158 lb and a 37-day break temper the appeal.

Online Order is winless in her last five, with finishes of sixth, eighth, sixth and seventh before an unplaced effort last time, so she is hard to fancy under 153 lb. She has run over today's trip and going, and her 84 rating, 13th of 15, offers little encouragement.

Frontier Rose has been consistent without troubling the judge, finishing a fifth last time out, and she's yet to win in her last six starts; back in 16 days, she has run over today's trip and going, but 149 lb is a hefty burden. Our rating of 90 sits above her official 81, though ranked tenth of 15 she looks midfield.

Talas Kera comes here on an upswing after a second last time out, and she has run over today's trip and going, but she is yet to win in her last six starts and has been off for 36 days. Carrying 148 lb off an official mark of 80 looks a stiff ask, though our rating of 94 puts her eighth of 15.

Lightly raced and unexposed, Bethpage Theatre has plenty to prove after being pulled up last time out, 25 days ago, and she's yet to win in her last six starts. A sixth four starts back is her best recent finish, so any improvement has to come from somewhere, with 147 lb to carry.

Unplaced last time out and a sixth two starts back, Carrigeen Ardisia did sign off with a third three starts back and has run on today's going, but she is yet to win in her last four starts. Carrying 147 lb off 79 after 36 days off, she looks a midfield type, with our rating of 93 ranking her ninth of 15.

Inches Away is winless in her last five, with a ninth last time out and just a fourth three starts back as her best finish, so she is hard to fancy under 140 lb after 34 days off. She has run over today's trip and going before, which is about the best that can be said.
