Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Carrigans Grove is our selection in this 21-runner six-furlong contest on good to soft ground, and we prefer her to the top-rated Coincidental Glory on her progressive profile and a fitness edge. She sits only three pounds behind that rival on our figures, a small gap that a progressing, race-fit runner can close. Coincidental Glory is the chief danger on top rating of 71, with Alnofoor (63) and Rodeeve (61) the next to concern in a big, competitive field. This is a low-confidence call, but Carrigans Grove looks the most likely to improve past her rivals, so she is the pick.

Placed in two of his last three, including a third last time out just six days ago, Coincidental Glory has run over today's trip and going before and tops our ratings at 71 against an official 60. The risk is that he's yet to win in his last six starts, and 142 lb is a hefty burden.

Rodeeve comes into this on the up after a third last time out just 14 days ago, and she has run over today's trip and going before, while our rating of 61 puts her fourth of 21. The main risk is the 140 lb she carries from stall 15, and her last two runs before that third were unplaced.

Plushy is winless in her last six, with a third six starts back her best finish and just unplaced efforts lately, and 110 days off adds a fitness question. On the plus side she has run over today's trip, and our rating of 61 ranks her fifth of 21 against an official mark of 49.

Unplaced in her last three outings and a ninth on each of the two runs before, Aboveheronlysky is yet to win in recent form, though a fresh 14-day gap and previous experience of today's trip and going help. Carrying 128 lb from draw 4, she sits eleventh of 21 on our rating, so she looks a midfield sort.
