Tip for this race
All today's tips ›By The Lake gets the nod at Dundalk, top of our figures on 87 and narrowly ahead of a tightly packed leading group over six furlongs on the all-weather. The margin is only a pound over Real Encounter and Collective Power, who both sit on 86, so this is far from a one-horse race, and I Bid You Ajou on 83 is another who cannot be ignored. Even so, By The Lake has the best numbers on our book and gets the narrowest of verdicts, which is enough to side with him. Our selection is By The Lake.

Real Encounter has bounced between a third three starts back and a second four starts back, and she has run over today's trip and going before, while our rating of 86 ranks her second of nine. The main risk is a 56-day break after a sixth last time out, with 137 lb to carry from stall seven.

Twice runner-up four and five starts back, this gelding has run over today's trip and going, and our rating of 83 puts him fourth of nine; the risk is two unplaced runs since, and he's yet to win in his last six.

Three wins on the bounce looks hard to ignore, but Caffu Zafeen was last seen 33 days ago and carries 134 lb off an official mark of 73, with our rating of 67 putting him ninth of nine. He has run over today's trip and on the going, which is something in his favour.

Fox In Flight is hard to fancy, unplaced in his last two and winless in his last six, with a fifth four starts back the best of his recent efforts bar a second six runs ago. He has run over today's trip and going, but 56 days off and 134 lb from draw 9 give him plenty to prove.

Sovereign Cry is yet to win in his last six starts, with a fourth five runs back his best finish and three of his last four outings ending eighth or worse, though he has run over today's trip and going before. A 44-day break and 131 lb from stall 6 give him plenty to prove, while our rating of 76 sits six places up the order of nine.

Coincidental Glory arrives a last-time-out winner, with a third and a second before that, and has run over today's trip and going, but he's still hard to fancy at 128 lb off an official 67. Our figures rank him eighth of nine, so he needs to repeat the improvement.
