All today's tips ›Carrigans Grove No. 4, stall 11
Robyn Donaghue-Leahy · Patrick J Flynn
✓ Top rated ✓ Course winner ✓ Trainer in form (4/7, 14 days)
Carrigans Grove heads our ratings at 69 and is the one to side with in this 14-runner seven-furlong event on the Dundalk all-weather. Carrigans Grove is narrowly ahead of Chester Nimitz on 67, with Comfort Line on 66 and Iff In Doubt on 65 also firmly in the picture, so this looks competitive rather than a one-horse affair. Those three are the main dangers, but a few pounds in hand on our figures is enough to make Carrigans Grove the pick. Carrigans Grove is our selection.

Comfort Line is a leading danger, back quickly after 12 days and with experience of today's trip and going, while our rating of 66 ranks him third of 14 and sits above his official 60. The risk is form that has tailed off, with unplaced, ninth and eighth finishes in his last three runs.

Chester Nimitz has run over today's trip and going, and our rating ranks him second of 14, so he rates a leading threat despite a string of ninth-place finishes; quick back-up after five days since his last run and the top weight of 142 lb from draw 9 add to the case, but he is winless in his last six.
