Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Enjoy d'Allen looks the one to beat in this four-runner Class 4 staying contest at Plumpton, with our figures putting him 7 lb clear of Diplomatic Ash and a bigger margin again over Melton Mossy and Ferret Jeeter. That is a meaningful edge over this extended 26f trip on good ground, and he should be able to hold the edge against a modest group. Diplomatic Ash is the chief danger, while Melton Mossy and Ferret Jeeter would need to improve to get involved. Enjoy d'Allen is the confident selection.

Fit after just eight days off, Enjoy d'Allen was third last time out and has run over today's trip and on this going, while a second five starts back shows his ceiling. Our top-rated runner, he is yet to win in recent starts, but he looks the one to beat despite 162 lb.

Diplomatic Ash won two starts back and was second three starts back before a seventh last time out, and he returns fresh after 21 days with experience of today's going. Our rating has him second of four, but 158 lb is a hefty burden and the main risk.

Melton Mossy won last time out and has two wins in his last five starts, though a fourth, a fifth and a sixth among them show the form is not all solid, and he has run on today's going before. The risk is the 158 lb he carries, a hefty burden after 31 days off.

Ferret Jeeter arrives on a hot streak, winning last time out and two starts back, with a win four starts back too and a second three starts back, and he has run over today's trip and going before. The one concern is a 211-day absence, so fitness is the question carrying 156 lb.
