Tip for this race
All today's tips ›Look Back Smiling No. 1, stall 14
Dougie Costello · Neil Mulholland
✓ Top rated ✓ Distance winner ✓ Won last time out
Look Back Smiling heads our ratings at 76 for this Class 6 contest over a mile on soft ground, and he gets the nod in a wide-open 15-runner field. His edge is only a pound over Dark Rosa, who is the chief danger on 75, so this is far from a one-horse race. Law of Design (69) and Sixfiveseven (68) sit a fair way back but must be respected in a competitive heat. Look Back Smiling looks the one to side with, narrowly, and he is our selection.

Neil Mulholland 5/21
Fresh from a win last time out just six days ago, Look Back Smiling has run over today's trip and on this going, and his rating of 76 tops the field of 15, making him the one to beat from stall 14. Carrying 139 lb is the only real question mark.

Dark Rosa arrives in cracking nick, third last time out and second in the two starts before that, with only 20 days since her last run and experience of both today's trip and going. Our rating of 75 ranks her second of 15, but she's yet to win in her last six starts.

Somkiyr is winless in his last five, with a sixth last time out and a second five starts back the best of it, and he returns after 143 days off. He has run over today's trip and runs off 137 lb from stall 11, but a long layoff and a modest rating of 65 keep him in midfield.

Sixfiveseven is yet to score in his last five, but he has run over today's trip and on this going, and our 68 puts him fourth of 15 with a speed figure of 70 that stands out. The main risk is a 143-day absence after a seventh last time out, with 136 lb to carry from stall two.

Fourth last time out and back quickly after just five days, Born A Rebel has run over today's trip and on this going, but she's yet to win in her last six starts and was only eighth two runs earlier. Our rating of 67 sits above her official 63, though 135 lb from stall one leaves little margin.

Launch Time won last time out and has two wins in his last six starts, but a sixth and a seventh in that spell show his inconsistency, and carrying 135 lb from draw 8 off an official mark of 63 doesn't help. He has run over today's trip and going, yet our figures rank him 14th of 15.

Law of Design makes plenty of appeal, having been second four starts back and third three starts back, and he has run over today's trip and on this going before. Our rating of 69 ranks him third of 15, but he is winless in his last six and was only eighth last time out.

Just Queen High arrives fresh from a second last time out just six days ago, and she has run over today's trip and going, but she is winless in her last six and was well beaten in the four runs before that. Our rating of 66 sits above her official 60, though 132 lb from stall 15 is a hefty task.

Crimson Rambler is yet to win in his last six, though a third two starts back and a second five runs ago show he's consistent, and he has run over today's trip and going. Sixth last time out and 132 lb from stall six temper enthusiasm, though our rating of 67 ranks him fifth of 15.

Mayflower Billy is winless in his last six and unplaced in his last two, so he is hard to fancy, though a third four starts back and a fourth three starts back show some ability. He has run over today's trip, returns after 16 days, and our rating of 64 ranks him only eleventh of 15.

Rogers Dream arrives in solid form, a second last time out and a third two starts back, with a win four starts back, and she has run over today's trip and going. Quick back-out after seven days and 131 lb from draw 7 temper things, with our rating of 66 only eighth of 15.
